6/2/2008 | putersandnet.com

It's true that LightScribe has been around since 2006.But do you know that many people have not heard about it?

Some people have it on the computer they use everyday without knowing.

Just few weeks ago a co-worker came to my place with his laptop, I saw the lightscribe logo on the laptop and told him that i didn't know he also uses lightscribe. He asked me where's it and what is lightscribe, he didn't use it for almost a year he bought the laptop.

lightscribe logo You'll see this logo on your computer if you have lightscribe, Or on the CD drive.

"LightScribe is an optical disc recording technology that utilizes specially coated recordable CD and DVD media to produce laser-etched labels with text or graphics, as opposed to stick-on labels and printable discs." Wiki...

You can always buy an external Lightcribe CD/DVD drive if your computer didn't come with lightscribe or you can even replace the internal depending on the type of system.

Make sure that lightscribe system software is installed on your computer, It is required for lightscribe to function on your system.

To start labeling your CD/CVD Install the LIGHTSCRIBE TEMPLATE LABELER and/or LIGHTSCRIBE SIMPLE LABELER, It can be found on lightscribe.com they're free and easy to use. If you really want to do more with lightscribe then try using other software like Nero or SURETHING LABELER or DROPPIX LABEL MAKER not free but can get free trial.
