You'll probably be wondering why you have to encrypt the file in your USB drive when you are the only one using it and also have it with you where ever you go.
If you have a private or important data on your USB drive, I'll advice you to encrypt it because your USB drive could be misplaced and end up in a wrong hand, In this way someone can not access your file unless they can guess your passwords or you gave it to them.
There some free software programs you can use to do this.
The simplest and easy one i know is called Remora USB Disk Guard
To use Remora to encrypt files on your USB drive click on the above link to download it from download.com and installed it inside your USB drive.
Create a password and confirm it (strong passwords is recommended) but don't forget it!
You can set different password for Logon and Encrypting file or use the same passwords for both.
Double click this
icon from your USB drive to logon with your passwords.

You can Encrypt file or folder, Decrypt file or folder or Configure some setting from this little USB shaped.
Note: Decrypt a file before you can access or edit it, Encrypt it back before ejecting your USB drive. Also encrypted file can be deleted by anyone from the USB only that it can't be opened without a password when you use Amora.
There are more better software programs you can also use to encrypt file or folder that are not only for USB drive but will also encrypt files and folder or drives in your computer like, And might not be as easy as Amora in setting up. Try the following:
TrueCrypt Free Open Source
Encryptafile This not free but you can test the 30 days trial.
